Medical Thermal Therapy:
The general purpose of thermal therapy is to encourage increased blood flow, muscle relaxation and to help relieve or reduce pain. Thermal therapy also helps to relax tight, stiff or sore muscles allowing easier body movements. Quantum Heat can be used in any of the above applications and is also useful for neck and shoulder pain, back pain, menstrual cramps, head aches, arthritis, sinusitis pressure and migraines. Or any place thermal comfort is desired.

Multiple Applications:
Quantum Heat can be used by athletes, athletic trainers, coaches, medical professionals, hunters, skiers, campers, back-packers, bikers, fisherman, boaters, scuba divers or anyone seeking instant thermal relief or treatment.
What is in the Quantum Heat pack:
Quantum Heat packs contain a safe, food grade, non-toxic substance: sodium acetate, which is a form of salt and water.
Is it safe:
Yes, only non-toxic food grade materials are used in Quantum Heat products.
How long will the pack generate heat:
By being able to control super-cooled fluids, the system can produce heat for up to one to three + hours depending on the size of the pack and the insulation used.
Once it cools off, how can a pack be re-used:
Once the unit has given off all of its heat, it is then recycled by heating it up. The easiest method is by putting it in warm water and allowing the pack to simmer for the time noted on the pack (from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the pack size) and then letting the pack sit in the pan until it cools to room temperature. We highly recommend wrapping the heat pack in a dishtowel or placing it on a steam tray to avoid direct contact with the bottom of the pan (do not microwave). The product is heated, melting the crystals back in to a liquid state and then is allowed to cool below its freezing temperature. It is extremely important that there are no crystals left before you take it out of the water otherwise it will activate by itself. It is then ready to be activated and produce heat again.
Is there a limit to how many times I can use the pack:
No, the chemistry is unlimited in its ability to recycle. Unless the pouch is damaged or the activator button becomes bent, the pack will contnue to function perfectly each time activated.
What happens if the pack is damaged or leaks:
A break in the pouch will allow the non-toxic sodium acetate mixture to leak out, rendering the pack unusable. If the contents comes in contact with skin or eyes, simply flush with water. The contents are food grade and non-toxic. The pack should be discarded and replaced with a new unit. Do not attempt to patch a damaged pouch and reuse.
Can I microwave the Quantum Heat Pack:
DO NOT MICROWAVE
What is the chemistry behind QuantumHeat. What makes it work:
Our product represents a stable heat storage system, known as a super-cooled fluid.
To understand super-cooling, imagine a glass of water at 32 degrees F, it should turn into ice. This phase change, from one state (liquid) to another (salt or crystals) occurs with a change in temperature. If the water dropped below 31 degrees F and no phase change occurred, the water would be considered a super-cooled liquid.
When the heat pack is "activated", the solution is taught how to crystallize, and the temperature immediately jumps back to its "freezing" point. Much in the same way the water crystals produce heat at 31 degrees F, the pack produces an even heat flow with the crystals it produces at higher temperatures.
The heat pack is unique because it is the first time super-cooled fluids have been made stable and predictable.
Can the heat pack over heat:
It is the physical restriction of various crystals that allows for such strict temperature tolerances that in effect controls the maximum heat produced (130 degrees F). What this simply means is that once the system is manufactured the temperature limits are built in and cannot be exceeded, and this limit is not effected by most ambient temperatures.
It is always recommended to use an insulating wrap or towel when using a thermal product to help maintain and extend the produced heat as well as protect sensitive users
